It’s wedding season at WeBarre as we see three of our instructors tie the knot within weeks of each other! Check out how our bridal beauties Suwan, Minqi and Cheryl tackled teaching classes, seating plans and their pre-wedding fitness goals.

What was your wedding fitness goal?
Every bride wants to look their best on their big day! For me, I initially had big plans to lose 5kg and be my skinniest self on my wedding day – but it did not happen! Brides-to-be have so much to worry about already, and often, there is a lot of pressure on themselves to work towards that ‘perfect’ body. Halfway through, I realized it was more important to work towards sustainable goals and keep a healthy mindset towards my body. I began to focus more on enjoying my workouts, building strength, and improving my posture. My weight hardly changed, and but I felt happier and more confident of my strong body!
How did your pre-wedding workouts look like?
My staple workout was teaching barre and going for more barre classes. I also supplemented with a mix of strength and cardio exercises like boxing and running to get leaner. Plus, I added stretching and yoga to allow my body to relax and recover. Wedding planning is stressful, but those extra endorphins from teaching and working out definitely helped take my mind off the wedding stress.
How did you get that bridal glow?
Nearing the wedding, it became so busy that I took some time off teaching and workouts. I focused on eating more mindfully, while taking long walks and stretches to relax for the big day! I went bare-faced the week before the actual day to allow my skin to rest, drank loads of water, and slept early each night.

No-fuss and Classic
What was your wedding fitness goal?
Honestly, I just wanted to look healthy and happy, which is definitely what I achieved!
How did your pre-wedding workouts look like?
I did barre (of course) and yoga! Although I didn’t have the luxury of time to go for as many classes as I wish I could have, barre was a really time-efficient and effective way to get me in shape and feeling like a million bucks. It was definitely a commitment to set aside time out of my full-time job and wedding planning, but I always felt rejuvenated after teaching a class. It‘s a great way to block out pockets of time to be in “the zone”.
How did you get that bridal glow?
My pre-wedding regime consisted of mainly barre classes (outside my own) and masking every other day 2 weeks prior to the wedding. For a girl who finds it bothersome to put on a facial mask, I’m pretty proud I managed to pull through!

Glowing and Glam
What was your wedding fitness goal?
I wanted to have a flat tummy without consciously sucking in!
How did your pre-wedding workouts look like?
As the wedding drew closer, I was more stressed out because it was a lot of juggling deliverables and priorities. However, the teaching commitment was a constant that helped me keep fitness as a priority despite the various other stressors and urgent things to handle. I supplemented teaching classes with some workouts. I also took more barre classes by other WeBarre instructors, and did yoga because it helped with the toning, stretching and relaxing!
How did you get that bridal glow?
I masked a lot, drank a lot of water, and did not take any coffee or sugary drinks. I also did intermittent fasting towards the last few weeks!
