WeBarre people are the best people and we love hearing your stories about how WeBarre has impacted your life. Carol opens up about how WeBarre has changed her life after discovering it last year.
Hi Carol! Tell us about your first WeBarre class – what was that experience like?
Carol: My first WeBarre class was in July 2019. I remember because it was an instructor’s last class- Janice. I didn’t know any of the instructors but the class gave me a real community feel because everybody who took the class came for the instructor. So that kinda made me feel that you guys were part of a team or family. It wasn’t really about the workout, it’s the whole feeling of people coming together, taking their minds off things and working out for an hour together.
What’s your favourite barre move?
I like the relevé because it makes me feel like a ballerina!
Do you have a favourite song that gets you in the mood to barre?
Yes, it’s one of the songs that Derick likes to play. It is actually Jamiroquai’s “Canned Heat”.
It’s one of my favourite songs.
What’s your favourite spot at the barre? Do you scope spots out before class?
Carol: Yes, I do. It’s closest by the wall, the first row, top mat. It’s closest to the fan and I can see myself in the mirror if not in my reflection at the door.
How have you or your life been transformed by WeBarre?
WeBarre has brought a lot of positivity into my life and a brighter outlook. I have more energy and I see more possibility in the world.
