Whether it’s your first virtual rodeo, or you’re a seasoned Zoom pro, here are some ways you can make your home workout a breeze!

Be early

Class links with the playlist and equipment list are emailed 30 minutes before your class to ensure that you have ample time to set up your workout space and gather your props. We highly recommend logging on at least 10 minutes before the class starts to allow the class co-host to check your name off the attendance list and let you in. Plus, it’s always fun to have a bit of a pre-class banter with your instructor!

Check your Zoom account name

Before logging on, do a quick check to make sure that your Zoom account username matches your WeBarre account name! Your privacy and internet security is our utmost priority, and attendees are admitted into class one-by-one and checked against the attendance list. Ensuring that your Zoom name matches before class would also save you the trouble of having to log in and update your name just as class is about to start.

Set your device up

Whether you are using your laptop, tablet or smartphone to view the class, try and position the camera so that your entire body is in view. This allows your instructor to be able to check on your form and give you personalized adjustments, so you get more out of your workout.

Prepare your equipment

While it’s nice to have our WeBarre-branded props and equipment for that in-studio feel, it’s totally okay if you don’t have them! There are lots of simple substitutions that you can find around the house – water bottles for weights, a cushion for the ball, even a stretchy belt or headband for the resistance band. Keep your props close at hand before the class starts, so you don’t have to go running into your kitchen between sections to grab them.

Invite your friends

One of the best things about our virtual classes is our community! Knowing that you and your barre-dies are sweating it out together at the same even though you’re all apart makes the experience all the more fun and rewarding. So go ahead and spread the barre-love, and make your next workout a virtual sweat-date with the girlfriends!
